
Justin Roberts
Justin Roberts joined Futures and Options in January 2022 as the Director of Data and Evaluation. He leads the organization’s efforts to enhance data collections and better understand the impact of Futures and Options on the youth populations served. Before joining Futures and Options, Justin was a Data and Policy Manager for Project Guardianship where he oversaw data collection efforts, created evaluation plans, and designed quality improvement studies. His past employment includes the Vera Institute of Justice, Youth Justice Network, and Police Athletic League among other NYC-based nonprofits. Justin has also worked internationally with grassroots organizations in South Africa and as an accredited stakeholder to the UNs New Urban Agenda with the Global Urban Futures Project, a research group on inequality in cities at The New School in New York.
Justin specializes in mixed-method social research and program evaluation with a strong interest in addressing equity issues faced by marginalized youth and communities in urban settings. He is a Board Member of the Rikers Debate Project and an organizer for the Data Through Design collective in NYC. Justin holds a B.A. in Sociology from DePaul University in Chicago and an M.A. in International Affairs with a focus on cities and social justice from The New School.
